Lantern Tours

The Nepean District Historical Society also conducts tours by kerosene lanterns of our museum in the evenings by appointment only with a minimum of 5 people and bookings are essential.

The tours are designed to take you back in time to the early 1800s and give visitors a sense of what it was like to live without power or running water.

If you are lucky you may get to meet some of the past travellers who never left the building. 

School Tours

Our philosophy is to make history a living experience and to this end we have set up a range of hands on activities for school groups.

At any one time 100 students can be accommodated, however if you have larger groups they can be split into two sessions and spaced 2 hours apart as has been done with previous school tours.
